The AFP’s statement on the Abduction of U Kyaw Lwin
(Statement No. 4/2022)
Date – October 14, 2022
(1) U Kyaw Lwin, former vice chairperson of the Arakan Front Party (AFP) and incumbent member of the AFP’s central advisory council, was abducted on 4th October 2022 while he was at his cottage in Kyaukphyu township.
(2) Another central advisory council member of the AFP U Maung Kaung, who was also abducted on the same occasion, was released a couple of days later.
(3) U Kyaw Lwin is a politician who has always performed his utmost in good faith to carry out his political duties, and nearing the incident of the abduction, we cannot find any mistake in his speeches and/or writings that can rightfully result in this abduction.
(4) Hoping that the people of Arakan is not divided and not inflicted with any other negative impacts of this incident, We the AFP call for his release.

၁။ ရခိုင့်ဦးဆောင်ပါတီ၏ ဒုဥက္ကဋ္ဌဟောင်း နှင့် လက်ရှိ ဗဟိုအကြံပေးကောင်စီဝင် ဖြစ်သူ ဦးကျော်လွင်သည် ၂၀၂၂-ခုနှစ် အောက်တိုဘာလ (၄) ရက်နေ့ တွင် ကျောက်ဖြူမြို့နယ် အတွင်းရှိ ၎င်း၏ ဥယျာဉ်ခြံ၌ ရှိနေစဉ်ဖမ်းဆီးခေါ်ဆောင်သွားခြင်း ခံခဲ့ရပါသည်။
၂။ ဦးကျော်လွင် နှင့်အတူ ဖမ်းဆီးခံခဲ့ရသူ ဗဟိုအကြံပေးကောင်စီဝင် ဦးမောင်ကောင်းမှာ ရက်အနည်းငယ်အကြာတွင် ပြန်လည်လွတ်မြောက်လာ ခဲ့ပါသည်။
၃။ ဦးကျော်လွင်သည် ၎င်း၏ နိုင်ငံရေးသက်တမ်းတစ်လျှောက် စိတ်ရင်းစေတနာမှန်ဖြင့် ကြိုးပမ်းဆောင်ရွက်ခဲ့သူတစ်ဦးဖြစ်ပြီး ထိုသို့ ခေါ်ဆောင်ခြင်းမခံရမီ အနီးကပ်ကာလ အပြောအဆို အရေးအသားများတွင် ဖမ်းဆီးခြင်းပြုရလောက်သည့် မှားယွင်းမှု အတိုင်းအတာကို မတွေ့ရှိရပါ။
၄။ ရခိုင်လူထုအကြား စိတ်ဝမ်းကွဲပြားမှုများ နှင့် အခြားမလိုလားအပ်သော နောက်ဆက်တွဲ ဒဏ်ချက်များ မဖြစ်စေကြောင်းအား မျှော်လင့်ထောက်ထားလျက် ဦးကျော်လွင်အား လွှတ်ပေးမည့်အကြောင်းကို ရခိုင့်ဦးဆောင်ပါတီက တောင်းဆိုအပ်ပါသည်။
